Pete Lawson was born and raised in the rural Adirondack Mountain town of Ticonderoga, NY.  He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA and Duke University with an MHA.  He married his wife Diane in 1986 and they raised three Irish triplets Devin, Dillon, and David.  Pete’s entire career has been in hospitals and healthcare organizations starting at sixteen years old in the hospital laundry and growing into an  EVP of a Fortune 500 company. He currently provides strategic advice to health systems.  Cancer (Hodgkin’s Disease) reared its ugly head in 1987 after Diane and he were married.  Diane thought she married a lemon.  After extensive radiation and surgery Pete was cancer free until 2004 when he was diagnosed with Non-Hodkin’s Lymphoma.  After surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy Pete was cancer free until 2019 when he was diagnosed again with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.  After chemotherapy he was diagnosed with Lymphoma and received a CAR-T transplant at Moffitt Cancer Center.  After getting rid of Lymphoma in 2021 he was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer and is currently under treatment.  It is rumoured he invented the acronym WTF.
